A good selection of fresh fruit and veg that you can select yourself. Tries to source local produce and a small selection of organic. I always trust the produce I buy here to be fresh and to last a few days. Often sells short-date produce at a good price - a large bag of mushrooms makes a nice soup... Service is always cheerful and the staff are helpful. Always long queues on a Saturday morning.

I've never been disappointed with the fruit and veg I have bought from here. Locally sourced where possible, and at the right price too. Staff are always happy and friendly, even when I have strolled in as they were closing up. I almost never buy fruit and veg from supermarkets now.

It is such a sweet shop. The staff are really lovely and always happy to help with any needs. Prices are very reasonable and accurate for what you would expect. They also provide other food like milk and butter and cheese and dry food, so it’s like a mini supermarket!

For so many years this is a brilliant fresh vegetable shop in Gloucester Road. quality of the produce is always excellent,you can really taste the difference.there’s a great variety to choose from.staff are so friendly and always happy to help. Definitely recommend.

Really nice staff and the produce is decent. I like the bowls of fruits and vegs. They do seasonal veg too that you don't always find in supermarket. I find the produce to be bigger too eg. Spanish onions and the courgettes/aubergines.

I tried out all the grocers on Gloucester Road at the beginning of the year. I wanted to use less packaging, get fresh produce and to support the smaller retailers. I settled on Gardners Patch for so many reasons. They are open early, always have a smile, have great fresh produce and added value bits too (check the high shelves and the fridge). We are remembered and welcomed each week and often get a good deal on stuff that 'has to go'. Staff are all delightful, and even in this time of lockdown, are a delight to deal with. Highly recommended.

One of the many great greengrocers on Gloucester Road. So much better than supermarkets for fruit and veg, and they stock a lot of other things too at great prices. Daily bargains, organics, all the staples
